First solo exhibition in Sapporo
I'll do \"Alien Child.\"<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, the exhibition was held at IG Photo Gallery (Tokyo), then traveled to Hakodate and KG+2022 (Kyoto), and was given the opportunity to exhibit in Sapporo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back, I believe that I could never have achieved this alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I could not have done it without the friends, students, and supporters I have met through photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am grateful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to make the most of the large space and height of the gallery this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are aiming for something different from the way we have exhibited in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, on July 16, I will have a talk session with fellow Hokkaido photographers Makiko Yamamoto and Tutumi Horiuchi at the gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mai Ito Exhibition \"Alien Child\"<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I have a persistent sense of detachment of self-subjectivity from the body and mind.
There are times when I feel as if I am observing my life from the outside (detachment) or as if I am detached from the outside world (loss of sense of reality).
This was the reason why my classmates called me an \"alien child\" in elementary school, meaning that I was a mysterious child.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
