“Hakodate Photo Exhibition” Pert.7 – Fisheries, 3rd season starts on July 26th.

Fishing used to be a flowery business.

It is now facing a crisis in which fish may disappear from the dinner table due to changes in the environment and the global situation.

At the same time, we are facing the problem of "Japanese people's shift away from fish.

We consumers have little sense of crisis in the current severe situation of declining catches, drastic changes in fish species, and the aging of fishermen.

In the midst of this situation, we have been photographing the profiles of fishermen who are engaged in the fishery with pride and the hope that fish will continue to appear on our dinner tables.
