Forestry

According to the 2020 census, the number of people engaged in forestry has been on a long-term downward trend, and the aging of the forestry industry has been progressing, with 25% of the population aged 65 or older.
The demand for timber itself has continued to decline, pushed by imported timber, which is competitive in terms of price and quantity, and this has led to a noticeable shift away from the forestry industry.
I have also been under the misconception that logging is a form of destruction of nature, as it is often covered in the media.
Excessive logging can greatly disturb the ecosystem, causing landslides and loss of nature's cleansing function, but effective logging can help protect nature.
I had the opportunity to photograph the daily lives of these forestry-around-the-forest people.
